CHIPLEY - A traffic stop for an obscured tag led to the arrest of a Chipley Wednesday.

The Chipley Police Department reports an officer conducted the stop in the area of Highways 77 and 90 after observing the vehicle sit through two light cycles at the intersection and observing the vehicle had an obstructed tag.

The officer made contact with the driver, identified as Angela Kay Anderson, 43, of Chipley.

Anderson advised she did not have a Florida license.

While officers were conducting a records search in regards to Anderson, the vehicle's occupants were observed moving around.

Chipley Police Department K-9 Stryker was deployed and conducted a sniff of the vehicle, giving an alert for the presence of narcotics. A search was conducted of the vehicle where officers found a baggie containing methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Anderson was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail where she was booked on the charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
