CARYVILLE – A call to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) regarding a physical altercation led to an arrest for possession of methamphetamine and other charges.
WCSO deputies responded to a call at 1960 Lakeview Road in Caryville on July 26. When deputies arrived on scene a witness stated that Justin Brown, 29, of Caryville, was high on meth and acting aggressively.
As a deputy approached Brown, Brown exhibited aggressive behavior and was detained.
A search of the suspect revealed a plastic baggie containing a crystal like substance which later field tested positive for methamphetamine.
A victim in the case gave deputies a statement, alleging Brown had knocked her down and threatened her . These allegations were corroborated by witness statements.
Brown was arrested and charged with battery touch or strike, domestic violence battery and possession of methamphetamine.
