CARYVILLE - Holmes County Sheriff's deputies made a drug arrest Monday following a complaint of illegal drug activity taking place at 2282 Boat Ramp Road in Caryville.
Deputies arrived at the residence and located Eddie Peacock asleep in a car in the front yard.
HCSO reports Peacock was detained for officer safety after deputies observed a rifle in the vehicle. Also lying in plain view was a spoon with white residue that tested positive for methamphetamine.
Peacock was placed under arrest, and a search of his person revealed a bag containing meth and another bag containing marijuana. Also found was a hypodermic needle.
Further examination of the rifle revealed it was an air rifle.
Peacock faces charges of possession of meth, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
