BONIFAY – Narcotics investigators with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office made arrangements on July 3, to meet with Sonya Carnley to purchase methamphetamine in an undercover sting operation.
When walking down Banfill Avenue to meet investigators, Carnley was detained. As she stood talking with investigators, she dropped a plastic bag containing methamphetamine she had concealed on her person.
At this time she was arrested for possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell. Carnley also faces charges of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Investigators went to Carnley’s residence at 620 Banfill Avenue, where they made contact with homeowner Ronald Stewart.
A search of the residence produced more methamphetamine, syringes, spoons containing methamphetamine, glass smoking pipes, assorted pills and electronic scales.
Stewart was placed under arrest, charged with possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
