PONCE DE LEON - The Holmes County Sheriff's Office reports the arrest of a Georgia man who was discovered passed out in his car on June 9 in the parking lot of Ponce de Leon's Tom Thumb convenience store.

A HCSO deputy responded to the call and attempted to wake the man, identified as Edward William of Milan, Georgia.

According to reports, William appeared to be under the influence of narcotics, and a search of his vehicle resulted in the discovery of marijuana and hydrocodone pills, for which he did not have a prescription.

William was arrested and charged with possession of controlled substance and possession of marijuana.
