BONIFAY – A routine traffic stop on June 8, resulted in an arrest for methamphetamine.

A Holmes County Sheriff’s Office deputy stopped a red Dodge pickup on Highway 90 driven by Helen Rebecca Montgomery of Caryville.

Montgomery stated that she did not have a drivers license which was confirmed by dispatch.

The owner of the truck was contacted and gave permission to deputies to search the vehicle.

While conducting the search a sunglass case was found to contain a meth pipe and a small amount of methamphetamine.

Montgomery was arrested and charged with no valid drivers license, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
