DIY personal care products
BONIFAY - There will be a DIY personal care products class from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, June 15 at the Holmes County Agriculture Center. The class will cover how to make hair care products, deodorants, lip balms, skin care products and more. The cost for the class is $50 and includes course materials. Breastfeeding Support Group
BONIFAY - The Florida Department of Health Holmes County will host Bosom Buddies Breastfeeding Support Group. The group will meet from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday, June 12, Monday, July 10 and Monday, August 8 at the Holmes County Public Library located at 303 J Harvey Ethridge Street, Bonifay. Southeast Alabama Bicentennial pageant
GENEVA, ALABAMA - The Geneva County Historical Society will host the Miss Southeast Alabama Bicentennial pageant Saturday, June 17 in the Geneva High School auditorium. A $300 scholarship will be awarded to the Miss winner if there are three or more in the group. Baby Miss, Tiny Miss, Future Little Miss and Little Miss categories will begin at 11 a.m. Young Junior Miss, Teen Miss and Miss categories will begin at 4 p.m.. PANAMA CITY - There will be an Alzheimer’s Walk Saturday, September 16 in the SweetBay Community (the old airport) in Panama City. Registration will be at 8 a.m. with a ceremony at 8:45 a.m. and the walk beginning at 9 a.m. The walk is about two miles long. It is a “nature walk” as it winds off road through some trees, out to the bay, and back again. The Sweet Bay Community is located at 3204 Heartleaf Ave. East, Panama City.
