BONIFAY – A traffic infraction stop led to the arrest of a Chipley man for drug and firearm charges by the Bonifay Police Department.
On May 12, Dana Lavon Lucious, 40, was pulled over at the intersection of Banfill Avenue and McGee Road. During the stop, the officer could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the inside of the vehicle. A probable cause search was conducted and revealed suspected marijuana and three firearms.
Lucious was arrested and transported to the Holmes County Jail where he was charged with carrying a concealed firearm, possession of a forearm by a convicted felon, and possession of marijuana less than 20 grams.
