BONIFAY – After receiving multiple complaints about drug activity at a Bonifay residence, the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) executed a search warrant on May 16 at 511 North Varner Street.

Upon arrival at the residence, several people both inside and outside the residence were detained.

A search of the residence found drug paraphernalia to include, digital scales, pipes containing methamphetamine, several plastic baggies containing small amounts of methamphetamine, and several hypodermic needles.

A vehicle driven by William Steverson and Nicole Merluzze, which was located in the yard of the residence, was also searched. The search found electronic scales, and a plastic baggie believed to contain a small amount of methamphetamine.

Steverson and Merluzze were taken into custody and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine.

The owner/tenant of the residence William Meredith, was also arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine.
