JACKSON COUNTY - A Saturday morning complaint by an Interstate 10 motorist led to the arrest of a Bonifay man by the Florida Highway Patrol.

According to reports, the FHP Dispatch Center received a complaint about a male subject traveling eastbound on State Road 8 (Interstate 10). The complaint indicated the driver of a pick-up truck was "naked from the waist down" and "actively pleasuring himself."

The caller stated the suspect, later identified as Danny Lee Carroll, 55, of Bonifay, entered the rest area at Mile Marker 133 in Jackson County, where troopers would finally make contact with him.

During the course of the investigation, a probable cause search was initiated on the vehicle Carroll was driving. The search revealed Carroll to be in possession of marijuana. The victim was also interviewed and gave a sworn statement to the indecent exposure and lewd and lascivious behavior allegations.

Citing probable cause, troopers arrested Carroll for felony lewd and lascivious behavior and for the misdemeanor charges of possession of marijuana less than 20 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia, and indecent exposure.

The Holmes County Sheriff's Office confirms Carroll was arrested by their agency in recent years for similar indecent behavior charges.
