CHIPLEY - The Chipley Police Department (CPD) is asking for the publics help in identifying a suspect in a theft.

On April 18, the CPD responded to a call concerning a theft at McDonald's in Chipley.

An investigation determined that the subject entered the restaurant and located a wallet that had been left unattended on a table. The subject took the wallet and left the building. The wallet contained $300 in cash and was later located across the street in the hospital parking lot.

Upon being returned to the owner, the cash inside the wallet had been removed..

Video footage of the suspect was obtained and investigators are asking for help in identifying the suspect.
