An early morning traffic stop led to drugs charges for one person on Thursday.

Washington County Sheriff's Deputy Curtis French conducted the stop around 12:30 a.m. April 20, following a traffic infraction he observed on State Road 77.

During the stop, French observed a syringe on the vehicle's floorboard. Upon further inspection of the vehicle, the deputy also discovered baggies of methamphetamine and a digital scale.

The driver Jack Hogue, 26, was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail, where he was booked on the charge of possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell.
