VERNON - An early morning traffic stop on Pate Pond Road resulted in two arrests Saturday.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office reports Deputy Dakota Jarvis stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction.

The deputy discovered the driver, Leeazia Taylor, 23, of Pennsylvania Avenue in Bonifay, had an outstanding Washington County warrant for failure to appear in court for previous driver’s license related charges.

During the stop, Deputy Jarvis also recovered a bag containing methamphetamine from the area of where the passenger, Justin Brown, 29 of Pate Pond Road in Vernon, was sitting.

Taylor was arrested and booked into the Washington County Jail on the outstanding Washington County warrant.

Brown was arrested and booked into the Washington County Jail for possession of methamphetamine.
