CHIPLEY - From Holy Week services at local churches and school "Spring Flings," to community egg hunts and class field trips, there has been no shortage of Easter festivities in Washington County this week. Arguably, the most popular event was Washington County's Community Easter Egg Hunt, attended Wednesday by more than 1,000 local children. Organizer Sherry Biddle said she was pleased with the turnout.

"My heart is so full with the awesome response and turnout for this year's Easter Egg Hunt," she said. "The weather was perfect, and Shivers Park was full of excitement … this would not have been successful without the love and dedication (our partners) provided for this community event."
