PANAMA CITY BEACH — A man struck by a car at the Gayle’s Trails crosswalk on State Road 79 late Tuesday night was in critical condition Wednesday morning at Bay Medical Center.
Panama City Beach police said they were called to the location at 11:29 p.m. in reference to a pedestrian-involved traffic crash with injuries. Upon arrival, police found a man with severe injuries laying in the median near the crosswalk.
The man was identified as James Flowers of Chipley.
Police reported Flowers was hit by a 2010 black Dodge Charger driven by Gregory Truelove of Atlanta. The crash is under investigation by the city’s Traffic Homicide Unit.
