FDOT to Hold Public Information Meeting on Otter Creek and Unamed Branch Bridge Replacement Projects in Holmes County


CHIPLEY -  The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will hold a Public Information Public Information Meeting concerning the replacement of the Corinth Road over Otter Creek Bridge and the Bonifay Chipley Road over Unnamed Branch Bridge both in Holmes County. The meeting will be held Thursday, November 12, 2009 from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the Westville Town Hall, located at 2523 North Pine Street, Westville, Florida. The meeting will provide interested parties an opportunity to preview the proposed design, ask questions, and/or submit comments concerning the project.  

 

Current plans for the new Corinth Road over Otter Creek Bridge include two, 10-foot wide travel lanes with 2-foot wide shoulders. The roadway approaches to both ends of the bridge will be paved to the guardrails. Detours using White Road, Otter Creek Road, Sandy Creek Road and Line Road will be required to construct the new bridge. 

 

Plans for the new Bonifay Chipley Road over Unnamed Branch Bridge also include two, 10-foot wide travel lanes with 2-foot wide shoulders. The roadway approaches to both ends of the bridge will be paved to the guardrails. Detours will be required during construction. Motorists east of the bridge will use State Road (S.R.) 10/U.S. 90 via Parker Grant Road and motorists west of the bridge will be routed to Joe White Road to access S.R.10/U.S. 90.

 

Maps, drawings and other information will be on display.  FDOT representatives will be available to explain the improvements and answer questions.  There will not be a formal presentation or public testimony period.  Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability of family status.
