PBR brings best bull riders, top bulls come to Dothan

DOTHAN, Ala. – The Professional Bull Riders announced that fans in Alabama will once again be able to watch the best bull riders and top bucking bulls when the PBR Lucas Oil Touring Pro Division takes over the Peanut Festival Fairgrounds on March 15-16 for the PBR Bull Jam.

Fans will witness thrilling 8-second rides and jaw-dropping wrecks throughout the adrenaline-soaked performance as the PBR’s insanely brave cowboys risk it all against monstrous animal athletes that can weigh as much as 2,000 pounds.

Bull riding begins at 8:00 p.m. on March 15 and 16. Tickets are $12, $20, or $25 in advance and can be purchased at the following locations in Dothan, Ala.: The Barn Western Store and Sportsman Outfitters. Fans can also purchase tickets at Millers Grocery in Bonifay, Piggly Wiggly in Bonifay, The Westerner in Chipley, the S&S Express in Caryville, Sandi’s Feed & Seed and That Boot Store in Panama City as well as  Southern Wind Ranch Western Store in Jakin, Ga. Fans can also purchase a special VIP pass for $75 at any of the above locations. This pass includes one ticket to each performance, a behind-the-chutes tour and a catered lunch on Saturday, March 16 with select bull riders, and more.

The TPD provides an opportunity for riders to compete in PBR-sanctioned events to earn points toward qualifying for the nationally televised BFTS, which is comprised of the Top 35 bull riders in the world. The TPD is the developmental tour where established veterans and newcomers compete against some of the most famous bucking bulls. More than 100 TPD events are sanctioned annually by the PBR, awarding almost $3 million in prize money.
