Department of Business and Professional Regulation Invites Customers to meet interim director
TALLAHASSEE—Department of Business and Professional Regulation Interim Secretary Charlie Liem values customer feedback and considers it a crucial component to enhancing customer service, improving processes and proposing legislation. On Thursday, Jan. 21, in Orlando Interim Secretary Liem will kick-off the “On the Road 2 Better Business, Part 2” statewide tour. He will meet with customers for one-on-one discussions about streamlining processes and eliminating barriers to business.
“The people we license pay our salaries, so in a way they are our bosses. The best way to learn from customers about how well you are serving them is to ask. When we find areas in which our customers tell us our service is sub-standard, we do a post-mortem and change our procedures to make improvements in how we perform our duties,” stated Interim Secretary Liem.
Interim Secretary Liem will meet with customers throughout the state, and information on meeting locations and dates can be found at MyFloridaLicense.com. The goal of this initiative is to continue to listen for ways to make the department a more business-friendly environment.
The Department of Business and Professional Regulation’s mission is to license efficiently and regulate fairly. The department licenses more than one million businesses and professionals ranging from real estate agents, veterinarians, and accountants to contractors and cosmetologists to hotels and restaurants.
