Thanks for dog ordinance in HC

CUDOS to the Holmes Co. Commissioners! Thank you, gentlemen, for your care and concern about this problem.  As owners of the Dogwood Lakes Golf Club, we have had our fair share of nuisance dog problems out here.  Some neighborhood dogs have chased and frightened some of our golfers and deterred others from coming back to our establishment.  I have attended some of the commissioners' meetings and had some input, I hope, on this ordinance.  The commissioners and the county attorney have spent many hours pouring over this to resolve the problem.  We now hope that the sheriff's department can assist them in enforcing the new ordinance and the courts can collect the fines appropriated.  This county has been over-run with stray dogs and cats, plus been a dumping ground for people's pets they can no longer care for. Holmes County residents need to step up to the plate to make sure their animals are vaccinated, contained, spayed & neutered.  Let's all go the extra mile to make this work.
