Community Safety Coalition will be hosting a fundraising event


 
The Community Safety Coalition will be hosting a fundraising event to benefit educational programs in health, safety, and drug prevention for all residents in the Jackson County, Florida, area.  Event registration begins at Blondie’s on Highway 90, Grand Ridge, Florida, on November 7, 2009, at 9:00 AM CDT.
 
This fundraising event has several activities planned in addition to Poker Hands that are family friendly.  Prizes will be given for best hand ($200), worst hand, oldest participant, oldest motorcycle, person guessing closest the route mileage, and best or worst times on stop activity contests.  6 stops are scheduled along the route in Jackson County.  Registration includes food, two beverages, 1 poker hand, entrance to state parks, and most activities.  Additional optional fees are charges for additional poker hands, some activities, card exchanges, and quarter shakes.
 
Driver registration fees are $20.00 and riders are $10.00.  Extra poker hands are $5.00 with a maximum of 6 additional hands allowed/person.  Activities include: Slow Poke, Penny the Pig, Quarter Shake, Hit the Mark, Fatal Ride, Wet Tee Shirt, and Wide Ride.  All Activities are family friendly and cars are welcome. Complimentary food is located at the last stop.
 
The Community Safety Coalition provides free bicycle helmets through the Bike Education program, child passenger safety seats for expectant parents, and drug prevention education through the Substance Abuse Prevention Council.
