Sorry about rec center

To the Editor,
I am sad to see the building at the rec center wasted. I know children and teens would be very happy to have somewhere to go during the school break. It may be a good idea to open that building up for recreation to keep the use of drugs out of children’s hands.
A bus pick up with a fee would be needed since gas is high now and maybe a little fee to attend might help. I wish someone with a concern for the children reads this and tries to organize something for the children.

| Actually I have been trying to come up with something for the area kids to do during spring break and summer break, but with the way our economy is latly the question of if to charge these kids or not is going to be an issue. A lot of parents have gotten laid off and our only living off of unemployment and there resent taxes, but that to will dry up soon with the water bills and light bills going up. Insurances for vehicules are not being paid just so others can buy food and pay the bills. So yeah maybe a free thing in a central location between Bonifay and Chipley would be Ideal. Even if it is a couple of people getting party centers to donate water slides and stores to donate food it would be worth if in the long run, because in this hard economy all the companies are looking for tax breaks and it would be concidered a tax write off. Maybe this will happen soon. Think I will hit the phones tomorrow! |
