Free Entrance at Florida State Parks for National Parks and Recreation Month

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Florida State Parks

~Residents and visitors encouraged to enjoy nature-based activities at state parks on July 17~

TALLAHASSEE - The Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Florida State Parks will waive daily entrance fees at all state parks on Saturday, July 17, 2010 in recognition of National Parks and Recreation Month and in celebration of the 75th Anniversary.

Since 1985, the National Recreation and Park Association has designated July as National Parks and Recreation Month.

Again this year, Florida State Parks is offering a free entrance day.

Continuing its Family. Friends. Fun. campaign residents and visitors are encouraged to engage in outdoor activities with their children and families at one of Florida’s 160 state parks throughout July.
