Family Practice Nurse Practitioner Services Coming to Sneads

MARIANNA — Jackson Hospital is pleased to announce the opening of Chipola Surgical & Medical Specialties – Sneads – Monday, December 6, 2010.  Abby Strickland, MSN, ARNP, will serve the Sneads, Chattahoochee and surrounding communities as Family Nurse Practitioner.  Her office is located at 7999 Hwy 90, Sneads and she can be reached at (850) 593-1155.

Abby will care for patients of all ages with well checks, treatment of acute illnesses, management of chronic illness, and education on the prevention and medical management of disease.

She earned both Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees from The Florida State University.  She holds a Florida Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner license and has 10 years’ practitioner experience.

Abby brings a solid range of clinical experience to Chipola Surgical & Medical Specialties - Sneads.  In addition to her Nurse Practitioner experience, her background includes telephone triage nursing, charge nursing in a primary care hospital unit, and home healthcare nursing and clinical coordination.

She, her husband, Gene, and two children reside in Jackson County.
