FLORENCE NESMITH-TAYLOR JONES

Florence was taken peacefully into her Loving Lord Jesus' Arms after a short but valiant fight with cancer.
She was one born in Jackson County, Florida, one of twelve children, to Oscar and Melissa Nesmith. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Cecil, Edward, Lem and Bernard, sisters Ethel, Alice, Estelle and Bernice and husbands Allen L. Taylor and Clarence Neal Jones.
She is survived by her only child, Dolores (Dee) and husband, Harold L. Jackson of Lillian, Alabama, brothers, Roy Nesmith of Pensacola, FL, Edgar Nesmith of Seattle, WA. Herschel Nesmith of Burleson, TX and many beloved nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews that were the brightest smiles in her life.
She was a faithful and loyal member of Providence Baptist Church for many years and the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church since two thousand three. She was also a very active member of the Blountstown Order of the Easter Star Chapter 179 for over 30 years serving in all stations, as Past Worthy Matron and Grand Instructor.
Upon their retirement she and Neal traveled the United States discovering and enjoying new vistas. While at home they created folk craft art that they shared with friends and family and was purchased by visitors at craft shows.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, August 10 at Providence Baptist Church in Grand Ridge. Burial will follow in Cypress Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. Family will receive friends Friday at 1 p.m. at the church.
