Daniel Thomas Murray

Daniel Thomas Murray, 57, of Cottondale died July 30 at his home. He was born in Ponce de Leon but had lived in Cottondale since 1989.

Murray retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years. He attended First Baptist Church in Cottondale. He enjoyed working with computers and was a member of many area computer clubs.

Survivors include four sons, John Thomas Murray and wife Mila, and Ozzy Murray, all of Cottondale, Robert Daniel Murray and wife Dana, and James Daniel Murray, all of Orlando; one sister, Joan Smith of Texas; a nephew, Rob Smith of Kansas City, and seven grandchildren.

Services will be held Aug. 5 at Maddox Chapel in Marianna with the Rev. Jack Brock officiating.

Burial will follow in Ponce de Leon City Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home, Maddox Chapel of Marianna, directing.
