Holmes County Sheriff's Office announces four arrests
BONIFAY – Holmes County deputies made four arrests in recent days, and all were drug related. Information was provided in an news release from HCSO.

‘Beware buyers’ has a new meaning
On Oct. 27 investigators with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office along with assistance from the Bonifay Police Department arrested Amanda Lang, 23, of Bonifay for purchase of controlled substance (marijuana). The arrest stems from an undercover operation where Lang traveled to Bonifay and purchased marijuana from an undercover officer.
Deputy finds two pounds of weed, one arrested
On Oct. 28 while on patrol Deputy Craig Sherrouse stopped a vehicle being driven by Jarrell Jackson for traffic infractions. While talking with Jackson, Sherrouse detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed approximately two pounds of marijuana in the vehicle. Jackson was placed under arrest and charged with felony possession of marijuana.
Two arrested for meth
On Nov. 1 Sgt. Michael Raley stopped a vehicle being driven by Triska T. Scott, 43, for traffic offenses. During a search of the vehicle methamphetamine was located. Scott and passenger Gene Ray Medley, 39 both denied ownership of the illegal drugs. Both were arrested and charged with possession of controlled substance (methamphetamine).
