FSU-PC offers masters of education classes at Chipola

Panama City, Fla – Florida State University Panama City is currently providing classes to a cohort of students at Chipola College through a combination of online and face-to-face instruction.  The coursework will lead to a Master’s of Science degree in Elementary Education with a focus in one of the following areas:  Reading Endorsement, Combination of Elementary Education and Exceptional Student Education or Math and Science.

Although the cohort began in the Summer 2009 semester, it is not too late for students to join the cohort.  Students may register for the Fall 2009 semester as a “special student” in order to begin the coursework and then apply for fully admitted student status later in the semester. Each semester there will be at least one online and one face-to-face class offered.  Students entering the program in the Fall 2009 semester will have the opportunity to register for the two classes already offered in Summer 2009 during a future semester term.

To register for classes or for information about the coursework, contact Dr. Marion Fesmire, program coordinator, by phone at (850) 770-2265 or email to mfesmire @pc.fsu.edu . Classes for the Fall 2009 semester begin Monday, August 24.
