Fire ants food drive
The Florida Fire Ants 4-H Club organized a food drive for the Care and Share Food Pantry of Chipley back in November and had lots of success! The club continued to collect food even after the boxes were removed from the businesses who generously allowed the club to put them in their buildings. In the end, the club collected 689 pounds of food. They would like to thank all of the businesses who helped them; Save-A-Lot, Piggly Wiggly, Orange Hill Express, Washington County Public Library, Washington County Ag Center, Boar Deli in the Gingerbread House, and New Zion Church. They would also like to thank all of the people who put food in the boxes. They plan to have another food drive next year, and possibly collect even more food for the Care and Share Food Pantry!
