Register Now For Term ‘C' Classes At Chipola

MARIANNA—Registration for Spring Term ‘C’ classes at Chipola College is Wednesday, March 2, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Term C classes meet March 3 through May 2. Late registration is Thursday, March 3, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Term C courses include: (AMH 2010) American History to 1865 (online); (BSC 1005) Introduction to Biological Sciences, 1:00-2:50, MWR; (ENC 0004) College Prep Writing, 9:00-12:50, MW; (ENC 1102) Comm Skills II (online); (FFP 2740) Fire Science Course Delivery, March 3-17, 5-10 p.m., MTWR; (GEA 2002) World Geography II (online); (HUM 2233) Humanities w/Writing (online); (NUR 2960M) Nursing Review I (modified online); (REA 1205) Advanced Reading 1-5 p.m., F; (SLS 1101) Orientation, (online); (STA 2023) Intro to Statistics, 12:00-1:50, MWR.

Chipola's open-door policy guarantees acceptance to any student with a standard high school diploma or its equivalent.  Prospective students should complete a college application which is available in the Office of Admissions, or online at www.chipola.edu. Students also must provide an official high school and college transcript. Students should visit an academic advisor in the Student Services building to register.

Chipola has expanded its offerings to include more than 40 individual programs, including BS, AA, AS, AAS, Workforce Certificates and Continuing Education programs.

Chipola offers the Associate in Arts (AA) Degree program for students who plan to complete their first two years of college work and then transfer to a four year program at Chipola or another college. Academic plans for specific majors are available on the college website at www.chipola.edu.

The college offers 10 different Bachelor of Science (BS) degree programs, including: Business Administration with Concentrations in Accounting and Management, English Education, Elementary Education, Exceptional Student Education, Mathematics Education (5-9 or 6-12), Science Education (5-9 or 6-12), and an RN to BSN in Nursing.  The Educator Preparation Institute (EPI) offers Teacher Certification for those with a bachelor’s degree in a non-teaching field.

Other college programs include: Nursing RN, Practical Nursing, Emergency Medical Technician, Paramedic, Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Assistant, Early Childhood Education, Child Care Center Management, Business Administration, Networking Services Technology, Information Technology Management, Computer Information Technology, Computer Systems Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, Cosmetology, Culinary Management, Automotive Service Technology, Recreation Technology, Correctional Officer, Law Enforcement Officer, Crossover from Law Enforcement to Corrections, Crossover from Corrections to Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice Technology, Fire Science Technology and Fire Fighter.
