Your child may be eligible for health insurance through Florida KidCare, even if one or both parents are working.  Getting health care for your children even before they get sick is very important and is a good way to help them do their best at school and play.  Children need to see a health care provider for regular check-ups to make sure they are growing as strong and healthy as possible.
 
Florida KidCare is a health insurance program for Florida children age 0-18.  It offers a complete set of health benefits for your child, such as: doctor's visits, immunizations, hospital care, prescription drugs, lab tests, dental care, and behavioral or mental health care.   KidCare uses licensed health care providers and health plans that provide high-quality care to your children.

Applying for KidCare is easier than ever and it comes with its own reward: peace of mind that your child will have access to quality medical care at a price you can afford. Families with uninsured children, regardless of income, can qualify for low-cost KidCare premiums. Most families pay $20 or less per month and many families pay nothing at all.

The application process consists of completing a simple, one page form.   Families can apply for benefits on the internet (www.floridakidcare.org )or through the hundreds of statewide KidCare community partners.
