Chipley man faces drug-related charges
One charged after incident in Vernon restaurant
CHIPLEY - A Chipley man faces multiple felony charges after his arrest on drug-related charges. The information was provided in a report from Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
WCSO reports that Deputy Jeremy Pelfrey went to 2380 River Road on Dec. 17 to pick up a person wanted at a detox facility in Panama City. The deputy was met by Jesse Hall, 23. According to the report the deputy observed a baggie “that had a green leafy substance in it” on the counter. Hall then tried to put the baggie in his pocket, but the deputy told him to return the baggie to the counter.
Pelfrey reported that he also saw two bottles with what appeared to be crushed up pills in them and another bottle with “bi-layered” liquid in it. Hall told the deputy that he was “just fixing to take it all to the burn pit and burn it.”
Pelfrey then contacted an investigation and further search found a needle with clear liquid in it, three of what appeared to be meth or marijuana pipes, and a wallet with credit cards in it. Further search discovered another bottle with “bi-layered liquid,” as well as a bottle marked ACID.
Samples were taken of all the material and Hall was subsequently charged with felony possession of meth with intent to sell, manufacture or deliver; felony produce meth; and felony possession of listed chemicals. He is also charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana under 20 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia.
VERNON - A Vernon man has been charged with felony battery or domestic battery by strangulation after an incident that allegedly took place at his wife’s restaurant.
WCSO reports that on Dec. 15 Deputy Bob Wooliver was summoned to Michelle’s Restaurant at 3073 Main Street in Vernon where the owner told the deputy that her husband, Zackery Dixon, 36, had come into the restaurant, pointed a handgun at her, and choked her. She suffered lacerations and bruises
Dixon also allegedly assaulted en employee and shoved her into the grill, causing injuries. Washington County EMS arrived to treat the victims.
Due to the extent of the injuries the deputy filed charges against Dixon according to the report.
