New chaplain at WNRC
Washington Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is pleased to announce that Savannah Frederick has joined the organization as full-time Chaplain! She has experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse, Ordained Minister and as a Medical Record Specialist. Furthermore, she has a bachelor degree in theology and has experience working with the facility for over 25 years.
As the Chaplain at Washington, Savannah strives to connect to the heart and experience of the resident, stakeholder and family member, as well as work across different cultures, customs, and faith groups. She offers an abundance of love, hope and encouragement through listening, prayer, one on one interaction, worship activities and other modes of fellowship. She is connected to the community in an effort to provide additional resources and spiritual leadership to meet all requests and needs, and partners with the clinical, social services, quality of life and therapy teams to enhance the overall healing process of our residents. In this way, she participates in prevention and care coordination to assist with core competencies, best practices and quality of care.
Savannah Frederick, states, “I am very excited to be a part of what God is doing at Washington Rehab and Nursing Center. At Washington Rehab and Nursing Center we work with different faith groups to enhance the spiritual richness of our residents and stakeholders. It is a blessing to service the residents, their families, stakeholders, and their family members and others that come into our facility.”
