WC Historical Society book sale

The Washington County Historical Society will be holding its annual Book Sale on Saturday May 2 at the Museum in Chipley.  The Museum is located under the historic Chipley water tower at the intersection of Hwy 90 and Hwy 77.   The sale will begin at 10:00 a.m. and last until 2:00 p.m.

For sale will be books written about Washington County and the surrounding area as well as some written by local authors.  Books by E.W. "Judge" Carswell will be the predominant inventory.  We have depleted our stock of his book Tales of Grandpa Fitzhugh  and some of his other titles are in short supply. Author Hueland " Gator" Brown will have copies of his book Too Tough to Die available for purchase and Mrs. Milton Everett has consented to bring her inventory of The Everetts of Orange Hill written by her husband Milton Everett.

Team Walkers, a Relay for Life Team, will be selling hotdogs, hamburgers and beverages at the event as a fundraiser for the fight against cancer.  Be sure to come out and support our efforts.
