Three arrested for chemicals in motel room
The Bay Area Drug and Gang Enforcement Squad (BADGES) discovered three individuals yesterday carrying chemicals into a motel in Panama City with the intention, investigators believe, of cooking more meth in one of the rooms.
On October 1, 2009, while conducting surveillance, the BADGES task force observed two men and a woman carrying chemicals used in the manufacture of methamphetamine into a local motel. Narcotics officers intercepted the trio before they had a chance to get into the elevator in the lobby of the motel.
Consent to search the motel room was obtained and a search revealed that the suspects had already used the filter basket and the urn of the coffee pot in the motel room as one step in the process of cooking meth. Investigators believe they had gone out to purchase chemicals to manufacture more meth in the motel room. Also found in the room was equipment used to measure and package methamphetamine for sale.
Arrested was Justin Clifford Allinder, DOB 4/13/80, of 288 Pinetree Street on Panama City Beach, on charges of Manufacture of Methamphetamine, Possession of Listed Chemicals, Trafficking in Methamphetamine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Tanya Jayne Brown, DOB 5/25/83, of 130 Sims Avenue, Callaway, on charges of Manufacture of Methamphetamine, Possession of Listed Chemicals, Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Sell, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Steven Kyle Ellis, DOB 3/2/86, of 950 Oak Avenue, on charges of Principle to Manufacture of Methamphetamine.
