EBRO — An early morning armed robbery at Ebro Greyhound Park resulted in one security guard being injured and an undetermined amount of cash stolen shortly after the park had closed at 3 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 30, according to a Washington County Sheriff’s Office news release.


 



EBRO — An early morning armed robbery at Ebro Greyhound Park resulted in one security guard being injured and an undetermined amount of cash stolen shortly after the park had closed at 3 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 30, according to a Washington County Sheriff’s Office news release. 



The Washington County Sheriff’s Office received the call at approximately 3:30 a.m. Tuesday morning and dispatched deputies immediately to the scene. 



 Initial investigations revealed that the suspect had entered the facility, overpowering the security guard before entering a room in which cash was housed. 



The suspect fled, on foot, with the cash in an unknown direction of travel.  EMS was dispatched to the scene to evaluate the security guard’s injuries.  The victim refused to be transported by EMS, according to the sheriff’s office release.



 Investigators are intensely working all leads and have identified a number of possible suspects.
