The Chipley Farmers Market is opened up again for its fall season on Sept. 27, featuring fresh Turnips, Mustard Greens and Squash.  More items will be available as the season progresses.

The Chipley Farmers Market is a family-friendly market that sells locally grown fresh vegetables at reasonable prices. They provide the opportunity for each consumer to speak directly to the grower, therefore allowing specific questions about the produce to be asked and answered. The Farmers Market motto is: “Fresh Produce From Local Farmers” and is located at the “train depot” building, next to the Washington County Historical Society.

Hours are Tuesday and Thursday from 11a.m. to 5 p.m. The market is located at 685 7th Street between Highway 90 and the Amtrak Station, behind the Historical Society.

We are also looking for additional vendors. If interested please contact Wade Jackson, Market Manager at 638-4749.

For further information and to obtain a free growers permit please contact the Washington County Extension Service at 638-6180 and ask for Matthew or Nikki or you may email them at mjorwat@ufl.edu or menacof@ufl.edu.
