CHIPLEY The 57th annual Panhandle Watermelon Festival was a success in spite of Mother Nature's sense of humor.



Rain, lightning and winds of up to 70 mph tore through the area Friday afternoon, but it wasn't enough to stop the Panhandle Watermelon Festival.
